In the 2nd fifty percent of the third century, Ancyra was invaded in fast succession because of the Goths coming in the west (who rode considerably into the center of Cappadocia, having slaves and pillaging) and later via the Arabs. For approximately a decade, the city was one of the western outposts of one of Palmyrean empress Zenobia within the S
